Warning Citation Refund Inquiry Form

On June 15, 2020, the City of Roanoke Auditing Report concerning On-Street Parking found potential discrepancies in parking citations. In order to remedy the discovery of citations that should have been issued as warnings, the City of Roanoke, in partnership with Lancor Parking, L.L.C., the company that manages the City’s parking program, has created a refund program.

Anyone who may have received a citation prior to ever receiving a warning for the same violation between Jan. 1, 2017, and March 25, 2020, may submit a claim to PARK Roanoke. If your claim is found to be eligible, you will be refunded the total amount of the citation (plus any fees associated with the citation, with the addition of compounded interest). 

Refunds will only be eligible for specific first-time violations including parking within a designated loading zone, parking or stopping in a no-parking zone, and for exceeding timed parking. A full list of eligible violations can be found here.

To ensure that this does not happen again, Park Roanoke has implemented the following steps:

  • Completed Full Software upgrade to the TicketTrack System
  • Created New SCOFFS that accurately identify warning tickets vs citations
  • Periodic spot audits conducted by management
  • Reviewing Current City Code
Individuals can request a refund by filling in the form below with as much information as possible to assist with verifying eligibility. PARK Roanoke staff may need to contact you via telephone or email to obtain additional information. Please allow up to 10 business days for a reply regarding eligibility and if it is determined you qualify, allow 3-6 weeks for the refund to be processed.
